- Annual Open Enrollment Began Monday, September 16th – CSUEU-represented employees at CSU enjoy CalPERS and CSU-sponsored health, dental, and life insurance plans. Check out the 2025 basic plan rates for healthcare. You can enroll or increase your voluntary life insurance without medical questions, up to $100,000 for yourself and $50,000 for your spouse. CSUEU represented employees benefit from the lowest health coverage costs among state employees due to strong negotiated contracts. Don't miss the chance to take advantage of these benefits before open enrollment ends on October 11.
- Another resource: the Open Enrollment Is ”Now Open – Register for Benefit Fairs!” email from Dave Grant on Monday morning, September 16th.
- Reminder: IRP submission deadline is December 31st. This is the last year IRPs will be accepted per our contract. If interested in starting the process, you will find instructions and the form on the CO In-Range Progression Guidelines – CSUEU Units 7 and 9 page. In the meantime, CSUEU HQ is working toward moving us to the Salary Schedule next year.
- Interested in a unique campaign opportunity? The union is looking for CSUEU members to help with the Student Assistant Contact Campaign.
- This is a boots-on-the-ground campaigning opportunity on the Long Beach campus that would include full release from September 30 - October 18. Note: That's a lot of days out on a campus instead of at the CO being paid your normal salary!
- The goal is to get students involved in the process of developing their first contract.
- It's a great opportunity to spend time with your fellow union members and gain some organizing skills.
- If interested, contact Jason Stanton (our chapter Chief Steward) or Jessica Westbay (CSUEU Vice President for Representation).
- Check out Kaily Brooks, Bargaining Team member for Unit 15 – Student Workers, as she shares what is at stake this fall as they conduct the largest student worker membership drive in history! View her message on Instagram or YouTube.
