Hello.
Union Announcements
When management says CUTS, we say: NO WAY!
In response to premature layoff notices at Dominguez Hills, over 100 workers from CSUEU, CFA, Teamsters, and others rallied on campus on Feb. 18, sending a strong message against layoffs. While the fight to save these jobs continues, we’re encouraged that some layoffs have already been rescinded—proving that union solidarity is essential in protecting our rights and livelihoods.
This is one of the many reasons union membership is so important. So that we are ready to fight when the time comes! Read more about what’s happening.
No one knows exactly what the final state budget will look like, but as mentioned, CSU campuses are are shifting to layoff overdrive. Some campuses are citing declining enrollment and cutting programs, which only makes campuses less attractive to future students. We refuse to accept this downward spiral and are calling on state legislators to fully fund the CSU. Our ask is simple: fund the CSU so that it can keep its promise of providing good jobs for workers and opening doors for advancement for all Californians. Take a moment to join our statewide email campaign—it's quick and easy to send a pre-written message as a career staff member, student worker, or community ally.
Not a member? We are stronger and have more power together than alone! It is never too late to join!
