Signaling their approval of the state of the
union, CSUEU members voted to re-elect three incumbents for the
union's top executive positions: Catherine Hutchinson for
President; Terry Wilson for Vice President for Finance; and
Jessica Westbay for Vice President for Representation.
In response to a protest about election
irregularities, the union will conduct another vote for the
position of Vice President for Organizing. Information about that
process will be shared very soon.
This year marks the first time members
participated in a direct election of CSUEU's statewide leaders,
including for the Chair and Vice Chair of the four Bargaining
Councils - 2, 5, 7, 9.
Based on the members' votes, the Board of
Directors met on Saturday (June 29) and officially voted in new
leadership. The following are Bargaining Unit leaders:
BU2 Chair - Tessy Reese
BU2 Vice-Chair - Pam Robertson
BU5 Chair - Don Moreno
BU5 Vice-Chair - Amanda Sanchez
BU7 Chair - Dawn McCulley
BU7 Vice-Chair - Rachel Hart
BU9 Chair - Andrea Skinner
BU9 Vice-Chair - Hope Hardwick
