Message from CSUEU President Catherine Hutchinson:
Our Union is growing and our membership is changing, reflecting a
diversified membership in age, race, and culture. CSUEU
Leadership is conducting a survey this month to get feedback that
will help guide the organization as we strive to be welcoming and
inclusive of all members.
What does belonging and inclusion look like for
you? What are your experiences when you engage with fellow union
members or leaders? >> Read more

Opportunities to Grow Leadership Skills
|
CSUEU is a union run and led by members - that
means all of us have a role. There are two trainings coming up if
you are interested in becoming a union hearing officer or
steward.
What is the role of a hearing officer?
When a union member files a formal complaint against another
member, steward, officer, or official body of the CSUEU, a
hearing officer or panel of hearing officers from the pool will
be selected to hold a hearing, carefully review the evidence
presented by both sides, and make recommendations to
the President and Board of Directors for how to respond.

What is a steward?
Stewards are the vital life stream of any local union. Stewards
promote fairness, justice, and equality at their campuses.
