CSUEU Los Angeles turned out in numbers for our morning bargaining session! Management had to look union members from every part of campus operations in the eyes as they offered no meaningful proposals to our bargaining team. 

Our proposals to the CSU today focused on refining our plan for a unified performance evaluation and improving the parental leave offer the CSU made last session. Our bargaining team believes it should be 66 days, or approximately 3 months.

The CSU's proposals were basically 30 minutes of them shuffling cards in front of us. They restated their commitment to providing a wage proposal on July 13, and other than that, they didn't offer much. They gave a third revision of their "no strike" idea. The Bargaining Team is united on NOT giving an inch of power away on our ability to call for an Unfair Labor Practice strike if needed. We held big actions across the CSU yesterday. See photos here. From San Diego, all the way up to Humboldt, we are showing the CSU the danger of not delivering us a contract we deserve. They are witnessing thousands of workers that are ready to strike. If they do not come to the table with with full steps, raises, and job security, they should expect a strike! 

Another session of Strike School is happening on July 13-14. Contract Action Team (CAT) leaders from across the state will again gather in Long Beach for another two days of training and planning to better coordinate our execution of a strike this Fall, if needed.
