Workers' Actions Help Move Contract 2026 Negotiations (a Little)
Oct. 22 — After five months of contract negotiations and workers' escalating actions, we're finally seeing some tiny movement from CSU Management — but nowhere near enough.
Meeting at CSU Fullerton today, our Bargaining Team presented Management with a package of proposals, seeking 5% annual salary increases for a two-year contract. CSU's latest offer is for 4% each year.

Management also enhanced their offer by increasing the original 3% bonus for 2025 to 5%. However, they proposed a three-year agreement with a reopener on wages and benefits in the last year.
Management Wants Workers to Pay More
What should come as no surprise is that they want to extract as much as they possibly can from workers. Floating a proposal as a "concept," Management suggested that employees pay a greater share of the health insurance premium.
They had no responses to our non-monetary demands. Our Bargaining Team and member observers were very disappointed with the day's session.
