Victory for Beach Shops! We Won Higher Wages

We are pleased to announce we reached a tentative agreement yesterday with Beach Shops management on our contract that includes fair, equitable and transparent wage increases. Through more than one year of bargaining we stuck together and we won our top priorities:

• Fair and transparent compensation practices
• Equal treatment for employees performing the same work
• Recognition of experience, loyalty and long term service
• A compensation system that works for everyone, not just a select few

Higher Wages

Together we won a 5% wage increase in the first year of the contract–that includes the 3% raise we got in July 2026 plus another 2% raise once the contract goes into effect. Our wages will continue to increase another 4% each year for the next three years. Plus, your hourly rate will go up by $0.25 for every five years you’ve worked for Beach Shops. 

17% Pay Raises Over the 4-Year Contract

Taken together, this is a 17% wage increase for everyone–plus extra for those who have seniority of five years or more. We won wage increases that honor years of service, skills, education, and rising cost of living. This represents significant gains in our first-ever contract. 

Next Steps
We will vote to decide whether to accept the contract or not. Our Bargaining Team is recommending a YES vote to ratify this contract.
