Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (WA) will be joining SEIU education and care workers across the nation on our Education Justice National Town Hall on Saturday, March 18 at 9 a.m. ( RSVP here ). This event will bring together members from Early Learning and Care, K-12, and Higher Education into one conversation to speak loudly, with one voice, our demands for fully-funded, accessible and equitable education and care system, from birth to career – because this is what our kids and families need. Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal is the Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and member of the House Education and the Workforce Committee. Across our states, essential workers serve our communities, educate our children and students, and provide so many other services to make our communities safe and healthy. Yet, we continue to face low wages, underfunded schools and universities, and inadequate child care programs, which threaten the future of our children and families. While working people have borne the brunt of chronic under-funding of critical public services and education, corporations have only gotten richer while paying no taxes. There is nothing moral about that. Register here for the event. 📢We are fed up. 📢We are done waiting. 📢The time is now for SEIU education and care workers to unite!
